SRD5A1-IN-1 is a selective inhibitor of steroid 5α-reductase type 1 (IC50 = 1.44 μM) that reduces dihydrotestosterone synthesis and SRD5A1 protein levels. It is a useful research tool for studying androgen metabolism in models of conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia and acne.
