AP23464 is a potent ATP-competitive inhibitor of Src and Abl kinases, including imatinib-resistant Bcr-Abl mutants, with low nanomolar cellular and biochemical activity. It induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in Bcr-Abl-expressing cells, making it a valuable research tool for studying CML and kinase resistance mechanisms, though it is ineffective against the T315I mutant.
