Pentoprilat
Pentopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor prodrug that is rapidly hydrolyzed in vivo to its active metabolite, CGS 13934. It was developed for hypertension and heart failure research, demonstrating dose-dependent inhibition of angiotensin I pressor responses in both in vitro rabbit lung enzyme assays and in vivo rat models.
