Zimeldine hydrochloride hydrate is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that was withdrawn from clinical use due to associated Guillain-Barré Syndrome. It remains a research tool for studying serotonin transporter (SERT) pharmacology in vitro and investigating historical neuropharmacology.
