Methiothepin methanesulfonate is a small molecule inhibitor of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. It functions by specifically targeting the viral E2 glycoprotein, thereby blocking both cell-free infection and direct cell-to-cell transmission of the virus in vitro.
