SN-28049 is a GC-selective DNA intercalator with a multifaceted mechanism involving topo IIα poisoning, topo I suppression, and SP-1-mediated transcriptional inhibition. Its promising in vivo activity against murine Colon 38 adenocarcinoma supports its investigation as an experimental anticancer agent for solid tumors in both cellular and animal models.
