Ajmalicine hydrochloride is a selective α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist and a reversible, non-competitive inhibitor of nicotinic receptors (IC50 = 72.3 μM) . This research compound is applied in cardiovascular and neuropharmacology studies, including in vitro receptor assays and in vivo models of hypertension and sedation.
