CM39 is a small molecule inhibitor of aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) . As ALDH activity, particularly of the ALDH1A isoforms, is a key marker for cancer stem-like cells and chemoresistance, this compound is a valuable research tool for investigating these mechanisms in both in vitro and in vivo oncology models.
