Norbixin hydrate
Norbixin is a PPARγ-binding carotenoid (Ki = 1.15 μM) with demonstrated bioactivity in metabolic and oxidative stress research. In vivo studies show it ameliorates hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia, and atherosclerosis in rodent models, while also protecting against metal-induced DNA damage and photoreceptor degeneration in AMD models.
