Tricyclic cytosine tC
Tricyclic cytosine (tC) is a fluorescent cytosine analog used for live-cell RNA imaging. Its properties (λex/em 375/505 nm, ε 4000 M−1cm−1, Φ 0.2) enable studies of RNA synthesis, degradation, and trafficking via confocal microscopy in both in vitro and in vivo experimental systems.
