Guanethidine
Guanethidine sulfate, first synthesized in 1959, is a research compound that lowers blood pressure by disrupting neurotransmitter metabolism in postganglionic sympathetic nerves. It is used in cardiovascular and autonomic nervous system research, including in vitro receptor studies and in vivo hypertension models.
