Moxipraquine
Moxipraquine is a novel 8-aminoquinolone compound exhibiting anti-infective activity against Trypanosoma cruzi, reducing parasitemia in murine and guinea pig models without achieving sterile cure. It has also shown efficacy in experimental infections of Leishmania major but was ineffective against some Leishmania species, supporting research in parasitology and anti-protozoal drug discovery.
