Caricotamide

Caricotamide is a synthetic activator of the human enzyme NQO2, which is overexpressed in several cancers. When used with the prodrug tretazicar, it enables the generation of a DNA cross-linking agent, inhibiting replication and inducing apoptosis. This mechanism supports its investigation as a chemoadjuvant in both in vitro and in vivo cancer research models.
