Piragliatin
Piragliatin (RO4389620) is a glucokinase activator that acutely lowers plasma glucose in type 2 diabetes by enhancing β-cell function and insulin secretion. It is used in research to study glucose metabolism, pancreatic islet respiration, and insulin release mechanisms in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
