Cinnamic acid hydrazide is an unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative and a synthetic precursor to phenylalanine for aspartame production. It has demonstrated potential antidiabetic properties in research, including stimulating insulin secretion, enhancing glucose uptake, and inhibiting hepatic gluconeogenesis in both in vitro and in vivo studies.
