Oxybuprocaine

Oxybuprocaine is an ester-based local anesthetic that reversibly inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels, blocking neuronal signal conduction. It is widely used in ophthalmological and otolaryngological procedures for surface anesthesia. This compound is also utilized in research models investigating sodium channel function and local anesthetic mechanisms in both in vitro and ex vivo experimental systems.
