L- (+) -Ampicillin is the biologically active enantiomer of the broad-spectrum β-lactam antibiotic Ampicillin. It is widely used in biochemical and microbiological research for in vitro susceptibility testing and in vivo studies of bacterial infection models, particularly against Gram-positive and some Gram-negative organisms.
