AR-A 2 is a potent and selective 5-HT1B receptor antagonist, exhibiting high affinity for guinea pig cortical 5-HT1B/1D and recombinant 5-HT1B receptors with Kis of 0.24 nM and 0.47 nM, respectively, and a 10-fold lower affinity for the 5-HT1D receptor. This compound is a valuable pharmacological tool for investigating serotonin receptor function in both in vitro binding assays and in vivo models of CNS disorders.
