Celgosivir hydrochloride is an α-glucosidase I inhibitor with antiviral activity, demonstrating inhibition of bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) with an IC50 of 1.27 μM. This compound is utilized in virology research to study viral replication mechanisms and has been investigated in both cellular and animal models of flavivirus infections.
