HS-79 is the enantiomer of the selective fatty acid synthase (FASN) inhibitor Fasnall. It effectively blocks lipid synthesis, demonstrated by its inhibition of tritiated acetate incorporation into lipids with an IC50 of 1.57 μM. This compound is a valuable research tool for studying lipid metabolism and FASN-dependent pathways in cancer and metabolic disease models, both in vitro and in vivo.
