(S) -Nicardipine is the less active stereoisomer of the calcium channel blocker Nicardipine, which inhibits cardiac calcium channels with an IC50 of 1 μM. This compound is used in pharmacological research to study calcium channel function and cardiovascular physiology in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
