SCH 50911 is a selective, orally-active, and competitive GABA (B) receptor antagonist (IC50: 1.1 μM) . It blocks presynaptic GABA (B) autoreceptors to enhance neurotransmitter release and is used in research on synaptic transmission, neuropharmacology, and related in vivo behavioral models.
