Verruculogen

Verruculogen is a mycotoxin produced by Penicillium and Aspergillus species. It acts as a potent inhibitor of calcium-activated potassium (BK) channels and arrests the mammalian cell cycle in M phase. This tool compound is used in electrophysiology and cell cycle research, both in vitro and in vivo, to study ion channel function and mitotic regulation.
