Ascr#3 is a C. elegans-derived ascaroside pheromone that functions as a potent male attractant. In combination with ascr#2, it induces dauer larva formation at low concentrations, making it a key tool for studying nematode chemotaxis, developmental biology, and interorganismal signaling in vivo.
