Citreoviridin
Citreoviridin is a mycotoxin from Penicillium citreoviride that acts as a differential modulator of ATPase activity. It inhibits Na+/K+-ATPase in brain synaptosomes but stimulates both Na+/K+-ATPase and Mg2+-ATPase in microsomes. This compound is used in research to study ion transport mechanisms, enzyme kinetics, and neurotoxicity in vitro.
