Enniatin B1
Enniatin B1 is a Fusarium mycotoxin capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier. It modulates key signaling pathways by reducing ERK (p44/p42) activation and moderately inhibiting TNF-α-induced NF-κB activity. Furthermore, it acts as an ACAT inhibitor with an IC50 of 73 μM in enzymatic assays, making it a useful research tool for studying neuroinflammation and cholesterol metabolism in vitro.
