Lycopodine
Lycopodine, a natural alkaloid from Lycopodium clavatum, induces apoptosis in HeLa cells via caspase-3 activation and in refractory prostate cancer cells through 5-lipoxygenase modulation and mitochondrial membrane depolarization. This compound is a useful research tool for studying apoptosis mechanisms in various cancer cell lines in vitro.
