4- (tert-Butyl) -benzhydroxamic Acid is a PqsR antagonist that inhibits quorum sensing in E. coli and P. aeruginosa with IC50 values of 12.5 μM and 23.6 μM, respectively. It also reduces pyocyanin production in P. aeruginosa (IC50 = 87.2 μM), making it a useful tool for studying bacterial virulence mechanisms in vitro.
