Dihydrofolic acid
Dihydrofolic acid (7,8-DHFA) is a key folate cycle intermediate that is enzymatically reduced to tetrahydrofolate by dihydrofolate reductase. It is widely used as a biochemical substrate in enzyme activity assays and for studying antifolate mechanisms in cancer and antimicrobial research, both in vitro and in cellular models.
