DSM265 is a potent and selective inhibitor of Plasmodium falciparum dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), exhibiting antimalarial activity with an IC50 of 8.9 nM against Pf3D7 strains. It has demonstrated efficacy in both in vitro parasite growth assays and in vivo models for the treatment and prophylaxis of malaria.
