Picrotoxinin
Picrotoxinin is a noncompetitive GABAA receptor antagonist that blocks chloride channels, exhibiting an IC50 of 1.15 μM for the α1β2γ2L subtype. This convulsant agent is widely used in neuroscience research to study inhibitory neurotransmission, synaptic plasticity, and seizure mechanisms in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
