SAICAR
SAICAR is a metabolic intermediate in de novo purine synthesis that selectively activates the pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) isozyme with an EC50 of 0.3 mM. It is a valuable research tool for studying cancer metabolism, cell proliferation, and the regulation of glycolytic flux in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
