Streptolydigin
Streptolydigin is a 3-acetyltetramic acid antibiotic that selectively inhibits bacterial RNA polymerase (Ki: 18 μM) without affecting eukaryotic enzymes. It is a valuable tool for studying transcription mechanisms and bacterial gene expression in both in vitro biochemical assays and in vivo microbiological research.
