ELX-02 disulfate (NB-124 disulfate) is a eukaryotic ribosome-selective glycoside (ERSG) developed as a potential therapeutic for genetic disorders caused by nonsense mutations. It functions as a translational readthrough agent, promoting the incorporation of a near-cognate tRNA at premature stop codons, which has been demonstrated in cellular and animal models of diseases like cystic fibrosis and mucopolysaccharidosis.
