Capryl caprate

Capryl caprate, also known as decyl decanoate, is a compound isolated from the tergite glands of virgin queen honey bees (Apis mellifera) . This ester is of interest in chemical ecology research for studying pheromone communication and can be utilized in both in vitro assays and in vivo behavioral experiments with insects.
