Mexiletine
Mexiletine is a class IB antiarrhythmic agent that acts as a non-selective voltage-gated sodium channel blocker. It is also utilized in research for refractory neuropathic pain and for alleviating muscle stiffness in myotonic disorders, with applications in both in vitro electrophysiology and in vivo animal models of pain and myotonia.
