Finasteride acetate
Finasteride acetate is a potent, competitive inhibitor of type II 5α-reductase (IC50 = 4.2 nM), showing ~100-fold selectivity over the type I enzyme. It is widely used in preclinical research, including in vitro enzyme assays and in vivo models, for studying conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and androgenic alopecia.
