Apogossypolone (ApoG2) is a semi-synthetic gossypol derivative and a potent small-molecule inhibitor of Bcl-2 family proteins, including Bcl-2, Mcl-1, and Bcl-XL. It demonstrates antitumor activity by inducing apoptosis and autophagy in cancer cells and has shown antifungal properties in research applications.
