ST1936 oxalate is a potent and selective agonist of the human 5-HT6 receptor, which upon full activation stimulates downstream cAMP, Ca2+, ERK1/2, and Fyn kinase signaling. This compound also exhibits inhibitory activity at 5-HT7 and 5-HT2B receptors. It is a valuable research tool for investigating serotonin receptor function in both in vitro and in vivo models of CNS disorders.
