Antihistamine-1 is a potent H1-antihistamine (Ki = 6.9 nM) with moderate blood-brain barrier permeability. It also inhibits the CYP2D6 enzyme and the hERG potassium channel (IC50 values of 5.4 and 0.8 μM, respectively) . This profile makes it a useful pharmacological tool for studying allergy, cardiotoxicity, and drug metabolism in both cellular and animal models.
