Acefylline piperazine
Acephylline piperazine, a derivative of theophylline, exerts direct bronchodilatory effects. Compared to theophylline, it offers significantly lower toxicity and causes much less gastric irritation. It is used to treat asthma, emphysema, and both acute and chronic bronchitis when accompanied by bronchospasm.
