Fasciculic acid B is a calmodulin antagonist isolated from the mushroom Naematoloma fasciculare, formed by the esterification of fasciculol B with 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaric acid. This small molecule is used in biochemical research to study calcium signaling pathways and calmodulin-dependent enzyme inhibition in vitro.
