AC-186 is a selective nonsteroidal agonist for estrogen receptor β (ERβ), exhibiting high affinity for ERβ (EC50 = 6 nM) over ERα (EC50 = 5000 nM) . Its neuroprotective properties have been demonstrated in research models, supporting its use in studying neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease.
