Antipain dihydrochloride is a cell-permeable serine and cysteine protease inhibitor isolated from Actinomycetes. It is used in vitro to study apoptosis and cell cycle regulation, and has been shown to exhibit analgesic properties and reduce chromosomal aberrations in research models.
