(Rac) -Modipafant is a selective, orally bioavailable antagonist of the platelet-activating factor receptor (PAFR) . It effectively blocks PAF-induced platelet aggregation in vitro and is utilized in research models for studying arthritis and mesenteric artery ischemia/reperfusion injury in vivo.
