Albitiazolium bromide
Albitiazolium bromide is an investigational antimalarial that disrupts phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis in Plasmodium. It enters infected erythrocytes via new permeability pathways and is transported into the parasite by a poly-specific cation carrier. This compound is used in malaria research for both in vitro and in vivo studies of phospholipid metabolism inhibition.
