The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for up to 1 month. The reconstituted antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-8 °C. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least 6 months when stored at -20 °C.

LA5 reacts with most mouse blood vessels except heart, large arteries and veins, but not with any lymphatic vessels. LA5 recognized a protein of around 12kDa. The antigen recognized by LA5 was localized on both luminal and abluminal blood endothelial cell membranes. Besides blood vessels, some lymphoid cells are also recognized.
