Biliatresone
Biliatresone is a toxin derived from Dysphania species that models biliary atresia in neonatal mice. It depletes glutathione, reduces SOX17+ cholangiocytes, and causes cholangiocyte damage and fibrosis. This small molecule is a research tool for studying cholangiopathies in vivo and in vitro.
