Collismycin A
Collismycin A is a Streptomyces-derived metabolite with broad-spectrum antimicrobial and selective anticancer activity. Its antiproliferative effect is iron-dependent, as chelation of Fe (II) /Fe (III) inhibits its function. It also demonstrates in vivo neuroprotective properties, reducing neuronal apoptosis in zebrafish models.
