Blasticidin A
Blasticidin A is a bacterial metabolite that selectively inhibits aflatoxin biosynthesis in Aspergillus parasiticus (IC50 = 0.25 μM) and impairs protein synthesis in yeast. This tool compound is used in mycotoxin research and for studying ribosomal function and translation inhibition in vitro.
